New for 2012 – Meadow Flowers Shortbread Pan

Posted by on Jan 7, 2012 in Latest Designs

We have a new shortbread pan over on our Shortbread Pan Website. It is a pretty shortbread pan that bakes up 8 heart-shaped cookies. Each cookie decorated with a different Meadow Flower.

Your shortbread pan will bake shortbreads that are perfect for Valentine’s Day, Weddings, Mother’s Day, or any time you want to let someone know that they are dear to you.

I have your “Shortbread Recipe Book” along with Shortbread cookie mold which I have never used Because the recipe confuses me calling for powdered sugar ? I have made shortbread cookies before but using granulated sugar. I understand that powdered sugar is the sifter type and I use that for making icing or sifting over minced tarts. Your help would be greatly appreciated as I would like to try using the mold. Thanks, Jean Stack

      Hi, Jean,
The shortbread recipes do call for powdered (confectioner’s) sugar, but those recipes are designed for use with the larger Shortbread Pans. If you have an individual cookie mold that’s about 6″ or so long, the shortbread recipes will not work. You are right in thinking that you should be using a recipe with granulated sugar. There are a number listed on my cookie mold website, http://www.brownbagcookiemolds.com. Go check that out.

      Happy baking.
      Lucy

surface, the Ibis Pie Plate? Thank you.
